Boarding Services When you leave town who will take care of your special companion? Leave your worries at the door and let us treat your pet like our own! We offer comfortable full service boarding for dogs, cats, and other exotic animals. In our climate-controlled indoor facility, we have separate areas for dogs and cats. Birds and exotics stay in a quiet area. We do our best to maintain each individual pet’s schedule to decrease anxiety levels during your pet’s stay with us. All animals are boarded and walked individually. If you request, we can board pets from the same family together. CANINE BOARDING PERMISSION FORM Monitoring Your Pet Closely Many times, the stress of being in a new place away from their owners, animals will not eat as well, or may even develop intestinal upset. We will watch your pet closely for any early signs of issues by monitoring and recording each pet’s daily activities, including:
Our staff will bring any change in appetite, weight loss, or diarrhea to the attention of the certified technician and veterinarian on staff, so we can address these issues before they become a larger medical problem. If an issue arises that cannot be addressed with a food change (to a veterinary prescription bland diet), you (or your authorized agent) will be contacted to discuss the problem and staff veterinarian’s recommendations. In the case of an emergency, we will proceed with treatment to keep your pet comfortable and stable while we contact you. Each animal’s area is cleaned and sterilized daily (or more frequently if soiled) and all dogs receive 3 – 5 walks daily and individual supervised play time in our outdoor run! We provide Hill’s life stage diets for all boarding guests, if your pet is on a special diet, please bring that diet for us to feed. We know that pets like to have items that remind them of your and of home. Please understand these items need to be permanently identified with your pet’s name and your last name, and we will do our best to keep them with your pet (used blankets, bedding, clothing will be washed daily). Flea-free Facility To maintain a flea-free facility, a staff member will check your pet for any signs of fleas at the time of admission. If fleas or “flea dirt” (flea feces) are found, a topical flea adulticide (such as Advantage, Frontline, or Revolution) will be applied (at an additional charge). Proof of Vaccinations Needed Proof of current vaccines is required for admission into the boarding facility. If your pet’s vaccines were given at another clinic, you can bring proof from your veterinarian or we can call to have the records faxed to our clinic. If vaccines are not current or no proof is available, one of our staff veterinarians will examine your pet and administer booster vaccinations upon admission. These vaccines include: DOGS & CATS: Hours for Drop-Off and Pick-Up Hours for drop off and pick up are the same as our office hours:
Grooming During Your Pet's Stay If you would like we can schedule a professional groom to send your special pet home looking and feeling his or her best! If you have any other requests, these can be scheduled by any staff member. Boarding Admission Forms When dropping your animal off to be boarded, please allow additional time for the check in process. You can download the Boarding Admission Forms to assist with the admission. A number where you can be reached is necessary; if you will be unreachable we will ask for the name and number of an authorized agent. We look forward to the next sleepover with your special companion!
