Cassi Snyder, DVM

,

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Cassi Snyder was born in California, but grew up in Michigan. She spent her childhood dividing most of her time between caring for the many family pets (including cats, dogs, rodents, and reptiles), and dance class. She continued to teach and choreograph competitive pieces for her dance studio as she was getting her bachelor’s degree in biology at Alma College, but sadly had to “retire” when she moved for veterinary school. She received her veterinary degree from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.

Dr. Snyder’s love of good food and animosity towards winter weather led her and her boyfriend Jared to move to Portland as soon as she finished vet school. She immediately started practicing at a veterinary clinic in Warren, where she worked until joining Gladstone Veterinary Clinic in early 2017.  She enjoys working with such a kind and devoted team at GVC. Her special interests include feline health and well-being, geriatric care, and internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Snyder and Jared like finding beautiful hiking trips, great places to eat, and new places to explore in the city of Portland. They are owned by their two cats Chandler and Hercules, two littermates who share the family’s intense passion for food.
